 The Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Mojácar has filed a motion for discussion at the regular plenary session of September requesting the lowering of the Property Tax (IBI) and the fee for occupation of public roads of the establishments trade or business.

The Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson on the City of Mojácar, ManuelZamora, explained that "in 2005, became operational the oficial properties presentation of values​​, that from now and until 2014, will increase the assessed value of property in Mojacar at a rate that, for the current time and in the current crisis, does not correspond with the reality of the housing market. The rise in property value, and therefore the tax increase, is driving major losses in the domestic economies of our neighbors.
