The Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson on the Town Hall of Mojácar, Manuel Zamora, has claimed that "the mayoress of Mojacar has gone on holidays while she has not complied the Law, that say that with the number of citizens of the Village, the Town Hall of Mojacar has to hold a regular plenary sesion every two months."

"In the first extraordinary plenary session, after the Constitution of the Municipal Corporation in last July, was set and approved such a bimonthly regular plenary sesion, establishing the odd months for celebration," said Socialist spokesman.

Zamora has reported that "two months have passed, we are in the last week of an odd month and still has not convened the first regular plenary legally established."

The reason that the Socialist spokesman has pointed out is that "the mayoress of Mojácar and part of his government team have gone on holidays, rejecting the resolutions adopted, the legislation and its own citizens."

Motions

Manuel Zamora pointed out that "for the corresponding regular plenary convened in the month of September the Municipal Socialist Group had submitted two motions for debate and approval. The failure of the mayoress leaves no possibility of success such motions. "

"One of the topics proposed for discussion by the Socialist Group is the reduction of 20% of the IBI tax rate for next year 2012 and beyond, and the 50% reduction in the tax rate for the occupancy of public roads business in Mojacar, "recalled the Socialist spokesman also noted that" we are in time of charging the IBI, a particularly sensitive time for the people of Mocajar who Notes and regrets that, year after year, overvalued assets and excessive tax claimed. "

"Going on vacation and to shun the debate a motion that would ease the burdens borne by the citizens, it seems an absolute frivolity while a lack of respect for the town of Mojacar", praised the mayor of the PSOE.

Manuel Zamora also stressed that "only in the Ordinary Plenary Sessions may include a question and answer point that allows us, to opposition political groups to raise public complaints, suggestions and concerns we receive from the citizens.  Not to holding these regular plenary is depriving citizens of their right to participation in municipal life. "

"If we add that, until now, the extraordinary plenary sessions were held during working hours, the last one at 8 am, it is clear that the current government team has no intention of encouraging citizen participation," she added The Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson of Mojácar.

In this sense Zamora reminded the mayor of Mojácar that "citizen participation goes far beyond to the elections every four years. Municipal plenary sessions are public and not have to put obstacles to facilitate the attendance of most of the residents of the Village convened by the afternoon. "

Finally, the Municipal Socialist Group spokesperson Mojacar invited the mayoress of the Town Hall "that, wherever she is on vacation, she will open her eyes reflect the outside world, to return with renewed imagination with fresh ideas, applicable in our town in order to save tourism, the only industry in Mojacar, which by its constant mismanagement and mediocrity is sinking year after year. "

"Mojácar need effective management, participatory and transparent and always reject authoritarianism with which currently manages the City" has completed the socialist council.
